Brothers and Sisters,

Congratulations to everyone on your new contract. We will be having informational meetings starting on Thursday August 14, 2008 at the Holiday Inn, 700 Myles Standish Blvd. Taunton, MA and Monday, August 18, 2008 at the VFW in Hyannis. Both meetings will begin at 6pm. We will also have a meeting for all off tours at 9:00am on Thursday, August 14 2008, at the Mitchell Club in Middleboro, MA. The ratification vote will run from Thursday, August 14 through Friday August 22, 2008 at 5pm. You can vote at the meetings or by stopping by the Union office.

I can’t tell you how much your efforts with mobilization impacted the bargaining process. The Company didn’t think that we were ready, they didn’t think that we would draw the line, they were wrong. You were strong, you were united and we won. We took care of our current and future retirees. We made improvements to our Medical when the company said they wouldn’t. We negotiated good raises when the Company said they had no money. We kept our COLA and our corporate profit sharing when they said we wouldn’t. We kept these benefits because of one reason and one reason only. YOU. Each of you who took some part in mobilizing, whether it was practice picketing or telling your boss that you have had enough. Thank you very much for everything you did, it made my job easier.
